Aftermath of Hurricane Ike

There is not much information on the news about the aftermath of Hurricane Ike and I am afraid that the help they need will not be coming from the faith based organizations when Red Cross and FEMA pull out. Palm Beach Baptist Church will be keeping in touch with officials of Galveston and several of the churches in that area in order to get the word out since the news is under the radar of most people with all the politics and wallstreet news. There are several people still missing as you can see below and many who have lost everything. Let's see what we all can do to help build this city back and it's people - I will keep you posted!

The following are considered missing by their family members or their whereabouts are otherwise unknown:

Want To Know More About Galveston Texas?

One of the churches in Galveston that I contacted today gave me the website of their local Houston news which is giving ALL the information about the parts of Texas that were devastated by Hurricane Ike. http://www.khou.com

This website is giving all the information needed on what is going on and what you can do in order to help this area with their needs at this time. I will continue to keep you posted as I continue to communicate with local workers in that area and what we can do to help in this process.

Hurricane Victims Need Your Help!

To donate to the American Red Cross for disaster relief, go to http://american.redcross.org

In response to Hurricane Ike's landfall along the Gulf Coast, the Red Cross is providing shelter, food and emotional support for thousands in need. Those affected by disaster are relying on us for emergency aid in their toughest times - especially now in the peak of hurricane season.
