A "Category 5" Storm Passing Through!
Right now I see a "Category 5" storm passing through in the lives of my sister n law Jean and her husband Tom. She just recently had to have a liver and kidney transplant and he has the beginning stages of Lou Gehrig's. When a storm like this passes through what kind of hope or help do you offer, what can you do? I certainly don't have any answers, if there was anything within our own power to do, all of us would do it.
Helplessness is always the time in our lives when only prayer is our hope, that God will do something supernatural that only He can do. I personally would rather fix their problems or offer a plan because that is my nature but this is far too great for me to be able to offer anything that will be helpful to them at this time. There is only "hope" in God right now in the midst of a life "Category 5" storm passing through.
There are so many people all over the world right now praying for this family and we are all anxiously awaiting to see what God will do to take care of them during this time. It reminds me of watching the weather channel to see what is happening and helpless to do anything about the approaching storm, so you watch and pray, watch and pray. Jeans transplant was only a week ago and she is already home and on the road to recovery and that is certainly an answer to prayer.
God is writing the story of their life and even though I am not crazy about this chapter in their lives, this is the story he has chosen for them. Personally I think it stinks but if you spoke to Tom and Jean you would hear the voice of courage in them both and I admire their attitude. I do trust that God knows what He is doing and so I will just continue to pray and I know that all of our family will do whatever is necessary to support them in their journey!
Psalm 88:13 But I cry to you for help, O LORD; in the morning my prayer comes before you.
